INGREDIENTS FOR THIS COCKTAIL RECIPE:
I usually suggest to make the Bloody Mary mix the day before and place it in the refrigerator. This way it’ll be icy cold when you’re craving it in the morning after your nighttime adventures.

COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
I’m not a big fan of spicy. Is there a way to make this more on the mild side?
You ‘betcha! Simply use half the amount of horseradish, omit the sriracha, and only use a dash of hot sauce instead of a full teaspoon.
What are some other options for garnishes?
The sky is the limit! Below are some usual suspects, but if you want to get creative go ahead and top with a cheeseburger slider, grilled cheese squares, or crispy hash brown rounds!
Proteins:
- Pepperoni
- Meat Sticks or Beef Jerky
- Oysters
- Hard Boiled Eggs
- Cheese Cubes
Fruit & Veggies:
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Pickles or Cornichons
- Pepperoncini Peppers
- Fresh or Pickled Green Beans
- Pickled Beets
- Cocktail Onions
- Carrots
- Bell Peppers
I’m a big fan of dirty martinis. Can I swap the pickle juice for olive?
Go for it! Or better yet, I like doing half pickle juice and half olive brine to get the flavors of both! My husband likes them this way.

- 4 cups V8 Juice
- ¼ cup Lemon Juice
- ¼ cup Dill Pickle Juice
- 1 tbsp. Creamy Prepared Horseradish
- ½ tsp. Sriracha
- 1 tsp. Tabasco (or Texas Pete!)
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Celery Salt
- ½ tsp. Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- Salt + Pepper for the rim, optional
- 1.5 cups Vodka or Gin (2 oz. per drink)
- 6 Lemon Wedges
- 6 Cooked Shrimp
- 18 Pimento Stuffed Olives (3 olives each glass)
- 6 Celery Stalks
- 12 Pickled Asparagus Spears
- 6 Crispy Bacon Strips
- 6 Fresh Jalapeño Slices
- Add all ingredients in the Bloody Mary Mix to a large pitcher and stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator for roughly 24 hours.
- When you’re ready to serve, add the vodka to the pitcher and stir again. Rub each glass rim with a lemon slice, then dip the rim into a plate that has salt + pepper. Pour the Bloody Mary’s into each glass, adding ice first if desired, and garnish with remaining items listed for serving.
NOTES ON THIS RECIPE:
- Personally I like the flavor that V8 juice provides. You get that extra oomph from the blend of carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress, and spinach along with tomatoes!
- If you’re in a pinch for time, up to four hours in advance in the refrigerator will make the mix nice and cold before serving. I highly suggest up to 24 hours in advance, but four hours will do.
- For the rim, I used freshly cracked rainbow peppercorns for color, but regular black pepper is just fine too!
- Any leftover mix can be poured into a mason jar with a lid and kept refrigerated. Enjoy within the next 24 hours.
