I’m Jessica Bentley, but feel free to call me Jess. (I only get Jessica when we’re new acquaintances or I’m in trouble… 😉 ). I’m a self-taught chef who’s cooking & eating her way through the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Charlotte in 2013. Since then, I have been roaming around the city exploring the booming culinary scene and discovering new ingredients for my home cooked meals.
My husband and I have two boys and I run my own business, wearing many hats. I am the recipe developer, food stylist and photographer behind several food brands (see That’s Tasty for a larger collection of my work), I serve as a board member and Culinary Director for Grocery Shopii and I run everything here at sliceofjess.com. My recipes have been featured on The Cooking Channel and Rachael Ray Magazine’s social accounts (view more here) and was recognized by Zagat for my food photography. I’m also honored to have a feature in Chilled Magazine (pg. 36)!
