I’m absolutely smitten with cream cheese dip for crackers, especially when it includes bacon and scallions! Wow your guests with this easy combo that no one can resist.
I first came across Milton’s Craft Bakers when I needed a cheesy cracker for these Chicken Salad Stuffed Avocados. I’ve been working my way through their product line and recently discovered their gluten-free varieties. These are perfect for snacking, as they’re extra crunchy and come in six different flavors. They would go nicely on a Cheese & Charcuterie Board, served with my Smoked Cheddar White Bean Soup, or alongside this Baba Ganoush as a dipper!
INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:
When it comes to the ultimate party appetizer, you can never go wrong with crackers + a cheesy dip!
FOR THE CREAM CHEESE DIP:
- Room Temperature Cream Cheese
- Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt
- Mayonnaise
- Cooked Bacon
- Green Onions
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Fresh Italian Parsley
- Garlic Powder
- Dried Oregano
- Dash of Hot Sauce, optional
DIPPING COMPANION SUGGESTIONS:
- Milton’s Gluten Free Olive Oil & Sea Salt Baked Crackers
- Sliced Green Apple
- Chopped Red Bell Peppers
- Sliced Radishes
- Fresh Jalapeños
HOW TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE DIP FOR CRACKERS:
- Mix all ingredients for the cream cheese dip together in a large mixing bowl. You can do this by hand (hello arm muscles!) or with a stand-alone mixer. Either method will do the trick!
- Place the mixed dip in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to marry.
- When you’re ready to serve, place the dip on a platter and serve with your desired dipping companions and crackers.
I like to create mini open-sandwich snacks. See the photo below for reference! My personal favorite is the Milton’s cracker + cream cheese dip + green apple slice + fresh parsley for garnish. However, all the combinations are pretty tasty. Go ahead and get creative!

NOTES ON THIS RECIPE:
- Allowing the cream cheese to come to room temperature will make it easier for mixing.
- Always buy cheddar as a block and grate it yourself. Trust me, it makes a world of difference.
- Can you serve this warm? You ‘betcha! Simply preheat the oven to 375F and pour the cream cheese dip into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle the toppings of the dip with a little more shredded cheddar cheese and pop it into the oven for 20 – 25 minutes, or until bubbly. Serve immediately!
