Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week’s edition of Meal Planning Ideas, we’re going to focus on fun recipes inspired by past events and travels I’ve taken throughout the US!
I cannot believe it’s almost been a full year since I’ve been on a plane. Keeping my fingers crossed that this next year will bring some new, exciting adventures! Until then, I’m going to relive my trip to Florida vicariously through this blog post and my Instagram stories. A special thanks to The PGA Tour for hosting me!

SUNDAY SUPPER:
Happy Valentine’s Day! Tonight, we’re noshing on these Classic Maryland Crab Cakes. They’re absolutely amazing! (Psst: this recipe was mentioned on CharlotteFive last week!) I’ve always wanted to go crab fishing in Maryland, crossing my fingers that one day it will come true. 🙂
MEATLESS MONDAY:
If you’ve got some leftover crab from the night before, try this Cheesy Crab Rangoon Dip Stuffed Pasta! I know we’re usually vegetarian on Monday, but this recipe couldn’t be passed up! It’s hot, it’s melty, and it’s utterly addicting.
I created the Crab Rangoon Dip Stuffed Pasta after attending Melty Fest with Tillamook. Watch our recap video below (filmed by my talented friends over at theFUZE)!
TASTY TUESDAY:
Inspired by my trip to Dollywood, this Pickle Juice Fried Chicken Sandwich has become one of my most requested meals when we have guests over for dinner. There’s a few secret ingredients that make this stand out amongst the rest. Give it a whirl, I know you’re going to love it! Here’s our recipe video below.
WACKY WEDNESDAY:
I had the pleasure of attending a 3-day Farm Tour with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture back in 2017. It was such an amazing trip and I absolutely adored the owners of my B&B in Asheville. Before we departed on our journey back home, we woke up bright and early to try our hands at farming at Harvest Farm in Black Mountain. This conventional family farm grows an assortment of produce including Tomatoes, Cabbage, Potatoes, Squash, and Corn. That trip inspired this Caprese Chicken over Greens and Beans. So much flavor on one plate!
TOASTY THURSDAY:
Another recipe tilting my cap towards a trip I took to Florida last year. Drumroll, please… I give you The Best Cuban Sandwich with Carnitas. Piled high with maple ham, Swiss cheese, slow-roasted pork carnitas, spicy jalapeños and zesty pickles. It’s the ultimate sandwich to enjoy for a hearty lunch or dinner!
FREE-FOR-ALL FRIDAY:
Who says you can’t enjoy a hearty breakfast for dinner? I partnered with Dietz & Watson for their #choosethetable campaign because eating together each night is very important to me. When making this Eggs in Purgatory Skillet, I serve it family-style in the middle of the table. This way, everyone assembles their own plates and creates their own mix of toppings. It’s a hands-on dinner and those seem to make the best memories.
SASSY SALAD SATURDAY:
I grew up on the west coast, so avocado’s were on my dinner menu in some shape or form almost every night. This California Inspired Chickpea and Avocado Salad is a must-try. I promise your taste buds will soon! Serve it with a side of shredded chicken or grilled steak to make the meal complete! You could also serve it in wraps, here’s a video below!
