Spicy Cabbage Slaw

June 6, 2014 By Jessica Leave a Comment

Spicy Cabbage Slaw is an excellent recipe that pairs nicely with grilled meats.

Meal Idea: Grilled Skirt Steak & Asparagus, Brown Rice and Spicy Cole Slaw. Presto! You have a fantastic, healthy and fulfilling dinner. You’re welcome.

Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/3 red onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped (seeds included)
  • 3 tbsp apple cider
  • 3/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sugar (I use truvia)
  • S + P to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl and allow to mingle for at least two hours in the refrigerator.

Note: Technically, you can serve this immediately but the flavors blend really well the longer you allow to marinate.
