In our second session of “In the Kitchen with Slice of Jess”, I showed Derek and Juliana how to make one of my toddler’s favorite treats.

For this morning’s segment, I brought a variety of toppings from Earth Fare’s Bin Bar.
You can grab items in prepackaged portions (like you see above) or pour your own while in-store. When I go with Dylan, our three-year-old, I often let him browse the bins and create his own topping mix. Does he immediately go for the candy? Yes. But I also use this opportunity to introduce him to different nuts and dried fruits that he might not have tried otherwise.

Another secret ingredient I like to use are Hu Kitchen Dark Chocolate Bars (which you can also purchase at Earth Fare). They’re made with organic cocoa and contain absolutely no refined sugar or GMO’s. Oh, and they’re Paleo too! So really… this helps ensure that my Chocolate Bark is a healthy snack…. right?

It makes the perfect homemade teacher’s gift for Easter… or something fun to give a new neighbor. Making up your own batch is seriously so easy, so go ahead and share the chocolate-love, people!
