My little blog has got a BIG announcement this week. I’ll be doing a cooking segment with WCCB News Rising!
My debut will be Tuesday, February 26th from 7 – 8am. I’ve got all the yummy details below… and I’m incredibly excited about it.
WATCH US IN ACTION!
HERE’S OUR FACEBOOK LIVE AFTER THE SHOW!
I got my introduction to WCCB as a guest contributor for their couch chat from 8-9am. I’ve met some incredible people through those segments and am truly grateful they allowed me to be a part of their show. While I loved being on camera in the front newsroom, I always found my way back to the kitchen to say hello to Chef Troy. He was in my dream space and I loved chatting everything food with him.
So many memories on couch chat!
It’s always been my goal to show my readers that cooking isn’t complicated.
So I’m thrilled to now deliver this message through the magic of television! Don’t be scared of measurements. Substitute where you feel necessary and try new things! You never know when you’ll discover your next favorite meal or cooking ingredient.
I would absolutely love to have my own cooking show one day.
So I’m tickled pink to be taking a big step forward in that direction with this fun cooking segment! I absolutely love being in the kitchen, it’s my happy place. Food brings people together. So I hope you’ll join us by watching Juliana, Derek and me play around with a variety of ingredients in the WCCB kitchen.
For my first segment, I will be making my Cucumber Bruschetta.
Easy appetizers are one of my favorite things to throw together, and this recipe couldn’t be tastier. Insider tidbit: During our test filming Derek fell in love with English Cucumbers. Have you had an English Cucumber yet? They are the superstar in this dish and I can’t wait to share this recipe with you on live TV!
What recipe would you like to see on our next episode?
Is there a new appliance you’re dying to try… but don’t know how to use it? Do you want meal prep or quick dinner ideas? Leave your requests in the comments below! I’d love to incorporate YOUR requests into my segment!
I tell my friends to think of their plate as a canvas. Fill it up with as much color possible!
I’d like to give a special thank you to Earth Fare for sponsoring the groceries used in this segment. Make sure to check out our latest recipe collaborations listed below, too!

Hi Jess, I love your apron! Where can I find one?!
Jessica
Hi Samantha! You’re so sweet. It was actually a gift from Zagat! I was listed as #9 in the nation by them for Food Photography on Instagram! Here’s the link below. 🙂 You can grab one of these aprons though online, it’s made by Hedley & Bennett.
