These stacked party skewers are a great appetizer for your game day spread. They’re fully loaded with crisp bell peppers, salty bacon, Mahón cheese, cranberry-jalapeno jam and sweet basil.
I’ve been toying with the idea of trying out The Ketogenic Diet (Keto). I like trying different diet trends so I can speak to them, so we might as well start the year with this low-carb lifestyle.
I’ve played around with a couple Keto recipes so far and I’m beyond impressed.
Each year around New Years I try to clean up my eating habits just a bit. Don’t we all? So instead of whipping up a batch of my Fully Loaded Philly Cheesesteak Sliders for our football gathering, I’m lightening things up a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good slider… so make sure to check that recipe out when you’re ready to indulge.
This recipe requires absolutely zero cooking. Now that’s a touchdown.
It’s impressive looking, it’s easy to make, and it tastes phenomenal. With just five ingredients (+ a skewer), you have yourself an appetizer that is party-friendly, fun to eat, and bursting with flavor.
- Fresh Basil Leaves
- Cranberry Jalapeño Jam
- Mahon Cheese. cut into squares
- Mini Sweet Bell Peppers, sliced
- Cooked Bacon, ripped into bite sized pieces
- Stack all ingredients on a skewer and serve. That's it!
RECIPE NOTES:
I’ve left the measurements of each ingredient open, so you can make as many of these bad boys as needed. Each skewer requires one piece of each element (I like to do a half piece of bacon per skewer though), so feel free to multiply the ingredients by as many skewers you need. I usually make at least 3 per person.
