I'm a big fan of pillowy, savory goodness. That's why these Sausage Biscuit gems are a family favorite! Quick prep, bake, and enjoy!
Serves: 16
  • ½ Sweet Yellow Onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 lb. Mild Italian Ground Sausage
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar
  • 2 tbsp. Melted Butter
  • 1 - 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2 cans Refrigerated Biscuit Dough
  • Chopped Fresh Italian Parsley, as desired
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Mince the onion and sauté in butter until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Add the ground sausage and break apart with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook until meat is browned and cooked through. Drain and return to the skillet.
  2. Add the cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Continue to cook on low, stirring occasionally, until both cheeses have melted. Mix well to combine.
  3. Smush each biscuit round into a flat circle. Spoon a tablespoon or so of the sausage mixture into the center and wrap the dough around, pinching to seal and closing the sausage filling inside. Place seam side-down on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining biscuits.
  4. Preheat oven to 350F. While you're waiting for the oven to come to temp, brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter that's infused with minced garlic. Top each biscuit with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Turn to broil during the last 2 - 3 minutes to achieve extra crispy crust. Serve warm and enjoy immediately!
